Fun with pictures.

I was in need of a good humbling..... So, this morning I had the great idea to dress my kids up and take them to Picture People to get our annual Easter picture taken. Appointment time was 10am - a good time for everyone.... so I thought. I'm actually not sure why, at this point, I am surprised when we have a horrific Picture People experience, since they are pretty much 100% consistently that way. Anyway, I had high hopes, and Lauren was so cute in her dress. So, we load up and go to the mall. Upon arrival, my boys act as if they have been shot out of a cannon, and apparently someone much have told them we were actually at the park, because they thought that everything there was for running, jumping and climbing on or over. So I finally get them settled down, and get their clothes on. The first picture we took, which is the one below, was okay. Somewhere shortly after this Lauren had had enough of the two crazy boys she was with. It could have been that every time the photographer said "get a little closer," they chose to smoosh her. Anyway, she decided that the best way to get them off her was to first scream every time she was sat with them, and since that didn't work she then moved to biting. Yes, biting. Now I'm not talking lean over and give a little nibble. I am taking about ferocious biting. Anytime her brothers bodies would get close to her she would dive for them and bite. I am sure the girl taking our pictures has been telling our story today of the baby in the frilly pink dress attacking her brothers. I was taken back a little, and didn't know what to do.... running away would have been nice, but of course that didn't happen. So, I got some nice individual shots of the boys, and one of Lauren by herself with tears in her eyes and her face all red from crying. Like Kenny always reminds me, "I'm livin' my dream!"
