We survived!!

Although the news has made it sound like Santa Clarita has been burnt off the map, we are all still here and I think things are starting to calm down. Some minor lung irritation, and stinky air are all we can complain about. We've had many friends who have been evacuated, but most have already returned to their homes. It was strange for a few days in row for the sun to be red and for the sky to be so smokey. The winds carried all the smoke straight over us. The Stevenson Ranch fire seemed huge, and of course Carter was very worried so we got a million questions about how the fires spread and whether it was going to come to our house. The boys were pretty impressed by the fire planes and helicopters that we got to see amazingly up close a few times. Anyway, we're okay and following are some pictures of the kiddos finally getting to go outside to play. We have been a little cooped up :)

My crazy boys. The sky line behind them the day before was dark brown with smoke.

Its a rough life, don't you think?

I'm not sure, but I think it's time for Jason to move up to the big swing. :)

Can you tell if Lauren is proud of her new skill of pulling up on the coffee table. She also likes removing all the items off of it like papers, toys, and any beverage she can get her hands on.

...and I just thought this was cute. Have a great day!!

Josh and I just had a lot of laughs looking at your pictures. They are sooo cute- all of them! Josh was talking about how cute Lauren is. He didn't get to see you guys when you were here, I realized. Miss you lots!
